Ways of Knowing: Learning, Living and Sharing Kanehsatake’s Indigenous Culture

Ways of Knowing: Learning, Living and Sharing Kanehsatake’s Indigenous Culture is a learning program rooted in the Gardens of Hope community garden. Through gardening, medicinal plants, food and relationships with the land, the initiative supports the transmission of Indigenous cultural knowledge and creates accessible learning spaces for young people and individuals experiencing marginalization. 

Gardens of Hope Kanehsatake is developing a regenerative community garden that strengthens food security, collective well-being and the sharing of traditional and horticultural knowledge. The project brings community members together through educational, hands-on and collaborative activities, while also contributing to the local food bank.
